I can't see very far, but I'll boldly wear my scars like a road map which I'll trace until I get to you, inside some picture, lying next to me before the sunrise. And maybe, from that moment, that feeling never died. This song's for anyone who's ever been in love with anyone, anywhere, or anything at all. I saw the fear leave your body and the life come back in when you realized nothing ever mattered to begin with and the possibilities of life anew are endless. And so walk woth me down to the shore so I can let you see all of the reasons I have such fear and such trepidation: because love and death are closely related. This song's for anyone who's ever been in love with anyone, anywhere, or anything at all. Sometimes it can take a long embrace to realize you've been gone too long. We were dying to see all the possibilities. We all want to believe in something. This song's for anyone who's ever been in love with anyone, anywhere, or anything at all. We all want to believe in something greater than ourselves.

Dependence 03:51
Can you please sit down and stop telling me it's over? I've heard every word you said and now I'm fucking sober. Trust me I'd really like to believe you, but if it were through, why are you still following me? Come on, get off, I'm tired of this ride. Come on, break out, I've fucking served my time and don't you know it's over. Integrity is dead, you told me at the funeral you'd rather it'd been you instead. And after all is said and done and you've stared into the rising sun do you still want your old life back? Can you retrace the steps that you took? How you got fucked up and when you got pushed over? Can you believe the asshole's dead? Can you believe we fucking got him? Don't let go. Don't wake up. Don't succumb. I am through with this.

Betrayed 04:39
I walked down to the reservoir and I found nothing but a rusty knife with my name written on it in your hand-writing. This existence disgusts me, growing further every second of every day. And now distance is all that we have in common. Now I could never understand how someone could be so insincere and go about flattering themselves at the cost of everyone they know. The vanity that you drown in is poisonous but intoxication set in long ago. And now distance is all that we have in common. And I could forget about the pressures of modern love and modern war if I still had you standing next to me, you god damned son of a bitch, you really stole all of our solidarity and flushed it down the drain and I could never forgive you for this, no how could I forget you

This whole sea is a ghost town, the life has left long ago. We could never have been here and not a soul would have known. When the waves become unrelenting and the pangs of hunger strike in, the scale tips in the favor of jumpng off into the swim. I can see lighting in the rain. I see the ship and it is going down the drain, and it's depressing to know it all will wash away. But that's all right, I know we mattered anyway. I still have the splinters in my knees from too many nights of humility spent praying to god-knos-who from god-knows-where for god to do something to ease my mind in wayward times and show me a purpose for this life. What are we giving ourselves to more than a shark-infested tomb? I'll miss the roungh and stormy air. I'll miss daydreaming that a life existed where the ocean had no beaches and just went on, and on, and on. But tha's all right because it might when we're all gone. This was a lost cause the ship was bound to drown to the ocean floor. This was a setup. We were the last of our kind and there won't be any more.
